  4. Casio CZ 101/1000 Synthesizers have no split option, although they
  5. feuture 4-channel midi mono mode. The idea now is to assign parts
  6. of the keyboard to the 4 channel in order to allow splited play.
  7. CZSPLIT now assigns the lower part (below the splitpoint) of the
  8. keyboard to channel 1 and the upper part to channel 2,3 and 4.
  9. The sound assignment in the upper part is handled dynamically, so
  10. you are also able to play 3 tones a time...but only a monophonic
  11. bass. Since bass is normally played monophonically, this does no
  12. harm.
  13. In order to use CZSPLIT, you must connect your CZ to the Amiga's
  14. serial interface via a midi interface box. Then do the following
  15. setup on the CZ (refer to the manual):
  16. - SOLO MODE
  17. - MIDI BASIC CHANNEL 1
  18. - Program 1 to your Bass Sound
  19. - Programs 2,3 and 4 to ALL THE SAME melody sound
  20. - Turn back your voice channel to channel 1 (CH=1,VO=1)
  21. - from WB, doubleclick on the icon
  22. - from CLI, enter CZSPLIT or RUN CZSPLIT. You can add a
  23.   number from 1 to 126 to determine the split point.
  24. CZSPLIT will then send a "LOCAL OFF" Message to the synthesizer
  25. and then continually assign the notes to given channels. To
  26. end CZSPLIT, click on the Close-Icon of it's "window".
